Welcome to LND Digital Workshops

LND Digital Workshops offer training in the software and techniques used in today's landscape architecture, site development and civil engineering offices. These courses are focused on teaching digital rendering techniques for landscape and site design projects using Photoshop and Illustrator with Sketchup, 3ds max and AutoCAD base material. The workshop material was created by landscape architects and is taught by landscape architects that have years of office experience as well as teaching experience at the university level. The workshops are 2-day training sessions based on the content in the highly acclaimed Digital Drawing for Landscape Architecture.

  • "It was lots of fun. Once I got back to the office and started putting it to work on my own projects, I started to see how much I learned. It has defiantly improved my chances of getting put on the projects I want to be on." - Alison, Ecos Environmental Design
  • "I am very new to SketchUp, but I definitely feel more comfortable after this workshop to use the program. I feel like I now have enough knowledge and understanding of this program that I can utilize it in everyday activities at work. In regards to Photoshop, I use this program fairly frequently, but I learned so many tips and tricks that will really help me speed up my production." - Wade, HNTB
  • "When I got back to work everyone asked me if it was worth going to, I told them definitely! It was a great workshop." - Amy, Kimley Horn, Inc.

Digital Drawing for Landscape Architecutre

Deconstructing the Design Image is the product of many years of professional practice and teaching at the Louisiana State University Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture. As designers we attempted to create a book that focused on getting the job done. In this sense each section tackles the basics of the subject matter and each chapter introduces a short background with an explanation of how to accomplish a phase of the representation process with current digital tools.
